    SotM: Aphrodite’s Embrace

    Xathus Rowtha
    February 7, 2025

In the realm where moonlight weaves its silver threads through the fabric of night, and the whispering winds carry the secrets of ages past, lies a sanctuary of divine love and healing. Here, among the twinkling stars and the gentle caress of the cosmos, resides Aphrodite, the goddess of love. In this sacred space, we call upon her to mend the wounds of the heart and soothe the ache of unrequited love.

    Ingredients:

    • A pink or red candle (symbolizing love and healing)
    • Rose petals (preferably red or pink)
    • A small dish of salt (for purification)
    • A piece of rose quartz (for love and emotional healing)
    • A piece of paper and pen

    Instructions:

    1. Preparation:
      • Find a quiet, comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed.
      • Light the pink or red candle and place it in front of you.
      • Arrange the rose petals around the candle in a circle.
    2. Purification:
      • Take the dish of salt and sprinkle a small amount around the candle, forming a protective circle.
      • Hold the piece of rose quartz in your hands, close your eyes, and take a few deep breaths to center yourself.
    3. Invocation:
      • On the piece of paper, write the poem “A Cry to Aphrodite.”
      • Read the poem aloud, letting the words resonate deeply within you. Imagine the goddess Aphrodite hearing your plea and drawing closer to you.
      • Place the paper with the poem underneath the candle.
    4. Chant:
      • Focus on the flame of the candle and chant the following invocation three times:

    Aphrodite, goddess of love,

Hear my plea from realms above.

With rose’s grace and healing light,

Mend my heart and end this plight.

    1. Meditation:
      • Visualize Aphrodite’s loving energy surrounding you, bathing you in warmth and light.
      • Allow yourself to feel her presence and the healing energy she brings.
    2. Closing:
      • Thank Aphrodite for her assistance and guidance.
      • Extinguish the candle, keeping the piece of rose quartz close to you as a reminder of the goddess’s support.
    3. Reflection:
      • Over the next few days, continue to meditate with the rose quartz and repeat the chant whenever you feel overwhelmed by heartache.

    Final Thoughts:

In moments of heartache and longing, it’s important to remember that love, in all its forms, is a journey. This ritual serves as a reminder that you are never truly alone in your search for healing and connection. As you work with the energies of Aphrodite, allow yourself to be open to the love that surrounds you—both from others and from within yourself.

Continue to embrace the meditative practices and carry the rose quartz as a symbol of the goddess’s unwavering support. Trust in the process and give yourself the time and space to heal. The love and compassion you seek are not only from external sources but also reside within your own heart.

May Aphrodite’s divine love and grace guide you through this journey of healing and self-discovery.
